One hour south of Bruges lies Brussels, the capital of Belgium and home to many famous attractions such as Manneken Pis statue, Grand Place Square and Atomium sculpture. Brussels also boasts plenty of shopping opportunities with its numerous boutiques located throughout the city center as well as an eclectic selection of restaurants serving up traditional Belgian dishes like waffles and mussels.
5. Antwerp
Last but not least on our list is Antwerp which is just an hour away by train from Bruges. This port city offers visitors plenty to see including Plantin-Moretus Museum which features 17th century printing presses as well as masterpieces by Peter Paul Rubens housed in Rubenshuis museum.
